Get your iPhone ready.
Before we get into the process of installing IOS 16, it is very important to back up your data beforehand.
There are two ways to back up your iPhone's data,
1) Do a manual backup of everything including your media files, your apps, documents, and anything important.
2) Use iTunes to back up your iPhone's data. How to do that? Follow the below steps, and you'll be good to go.
- 1. Connect your iPhone to iTunes using the lightning cable.
- 2. Once connected, head to the summary section, and hit back-up now.
- Let the process get completed and you are good to go.
Now that your iPhone is backed up, let's jump straight into the IOS 16 installation,
Step-by-step installation.
Step 1. Open safari on your iPhone
Step 2. Go to betaprofiles.com, here you can find the latest IOS & iPad OS beta profiles.
Step 3. Tap on the 'install profile' option then tap 'install anyways' in the following pop-up menu.
Step 4. Go to your iPhone settings, and there you'll see a 'profile downloaded' option. Click on that
Step 5. Install the profile by clicking the 'install' button in the top-right corner. and proceed
Step 6. Restart your iPhone to apply the profile.
Step 7. Once rebooted, Go to the settings app > General > Software updates, there you'll see the new IOS 16 update. Tap on 'Download & Install' and then just install the update as usual.

Going back to IOS 15.5
Now, you might find some bugs in the new IOS 16 build, as it is in its beta phase. IOS 16 might not be stable enough yet, that you can use it as your daily driver. So, if you want to switch back to your Stable IOS 15.5, Below are the exact steps you need to follow.
We will use a tool called 'reiboot' in order to restore our ios 15.5. And before doing this make sure you have backed up all your important data because you are going to lose it all once you go back to IOS 15.5.
Step 1. go to reiboot's official website by clicking here, and download it on your computer.
Step 2. Go to ipsw.me and download the IOS 15.5 firmware for your iPhone model.
Step 3. Once the ipsw file gets downloaded, launch 'reiboot' and click on 'reset device' from the bottom of the screen.
Step 4. Select the factory reset option on the next screen.
Step 5. Click on 'local firmware' from the bottom of the screen, and select the ipsw file that we downloaded earlier.
Step 6. Now just click on the 'start reset' button and wait until the process gets completed.
Step 7. Now restore all your files from the PC. and you're all set!
