Android 13 beta 1 released. Here is What's new You will Get.
Android 12 is now officially old, (no, seriously it is old now. what do you mean you're still waiting for the Android 11 update to arrive on your device?) With the release of the public beta of Android 13 which is codenamed 'Tiramisu', Android 12 is no more the latest version of Android. Android 12 was one of the biggest revamps Android ever had in terms of UI and Looks. Then the new animations introduced with Android 12.1 or Android 12L as some people like to call it, worked as icing on the cake. And now with Android 13, Google is taking this one more step ahead, not only in terms of UI & looks but features as well. There has been two Developer preview builds of Android 13 before the release of public beta 1, which is the newest build. A few more beta releases are expected before we finally get to see a stable build of Android 13 on pixels and other devices.

Here is the development timeline of Android 13 released by Google. As shown in the image above, we can expect a stable build of Android 13 after July 2022.
What's new in the latest Android 13?
Let's talk about all the new changes we got to see in the latest build of Android 13 -beta 1
The notification shade media player -

One of the big changes you'll notice in this build is the new look of the media player in the Notification shade.
With the new Android 13, the media player got a wavy animation in the progress bar which actually looks pretty cool.
New clipboard menu -
Now the android Clipboard has more than just basic CUT, COPY, and PASTE functionality. With this new beta build of Android 13, now whenever you select a text, a popup menu will appear with an edit icon which you can use to fine-tune the text before copying in case you selected a few extra characters with it.This is how the new clipboard popup looks in the latest build.
Google home controls on lock screen -
With Android 11 Google made smart-home controls very easy by adding the controls to the power menu. Then android 12 arrived with a revamped look of the power menu which lacked the home controls and the whole process of toggling the home controls became lengthy, seems like google saw this issue, and with the latest beta build of Android 13, Google made smart-home controls more convenient by adding an option to toggle home controls on the lock screen. A new toggle in the lock screen settings menu allows you to bypass the need to unlock your phone to control any of your smart home gadgets. Once you enable this toggle, there's no need to unlock your device just to turn on or off a smart home device from your android.
Google search bar in the pixel launcher's app drawer
Google seems to be experimenting with the App drawer's search bar in the latest build, the 'system-wide' search bar is removed from the app drawer and is replaced by the Google app's search bar. The 'system-wide' search bar was a great feature as it worked as a one-stop solution for anything you wanted to search on your device from apps to settings. Let's see if the 'system-wide' search bar makes a comeback in future builds or not.

Tweaks in the material you -
The Material you was one of the biggest form factors of Android 12, and with the latest Android13 beta build comes some more features to compliment the theme engine. In the latest build, we now get more options to choose from in the color palette section, in both wallpaper-based colors as well as the manual color palette.
Now we get 16 different options to choose from in both wallpaper-based and manual theme color sections whereas we only had 4 options in both to choose from in the previous builds of android. There's one more big feature in the system theme section that is, we can now select bi-colored palettes for our system theme if we don't go with the wallpaper-based colors.
The above image shows the all-new bi-colored palettes introduced in Android 13 beta 1.
Further minor changes in Android 13 Beta 1
1. The Privacy dashboard which used to show the camera, mic, and location permission toggle at once is now removed from the quick settings panel.
2. Haptic feedbacks are restored in the silent mode. (it was missing in developer preview builds)
3. The 'Priority mode' is now reverted back to the name 'Do not disturb mode.
4. Per-app language settings are missing from the beta build of Android 13.It was introduced in the developer preview builds of Android 13.
5. Last but not the least, New Android 13 logo is spotted in the latest Android 13 beta 1
Here is the latest Android 13 logo which comprises a gear-like wheel mixed with a classic bug-droid look and a 'T' in between which probably symbolizes the codename of Android 13 i.e. 'TIRAMISU'.
